This is a course which focuses on game-based learning. We will visit Impact Games, a well-known European organisation specialising in the development of educational games. Viktoria, head of this organisation, will show you through a short course how games can contribute to innovative education. She will also take us to some Slovakian schools where we can take a closer look at the work of Impact Games. This course is for Primary and Secondary education only.

How to work with (digital) games in education?
How to increase the motivation of your students with the use of games?
How to build critical thinking through games?
How to teach about migration through games?
How to create games with your students?

Participants:

can express themselves in English;
are team players;
can transcend their own context and have great empathy;
have a didactically creative and innovative mind;
can inspire others;
can transfer knowledge gained internationally to other contexts;
are willing to engage in a learning network in which they share what they have learned with colleagues across participating educational institutions;
are willing to turn what they have learned into effective changes in their own classroom practice and share this within the learning network and beyond.
