We start with an introduction on the characteristics of effective teaching, followed by an exploration of various didactic strategies. We immediately apply these insights by preparing a lesson in pairs from both countries. We will then implement and observe it in practice. During the observation, we look at the effect on student learning. This session is followed by a reflective dialogue, where experiences are shared and analysed, with the aim of discovering together how we can teach more effectively and make students learn more.
During this professionalisation, we work with an application of the lesson study methodology. The aim is for participants to learn this methodology in order to apply it themselves in their own context.
Our learning is enhanced by exchanging the expertise of both education systems and school contexts. This exchange provides additional inspiration to look for opportunities for improvement in one's own context. From this inspiration and the experience of professionalisation, we draw up an action plan to start working with the 'new' knowledge, skills and insights in one's own context.
During this mobility, we dwell sufficiently on the role of a (formal/informal) leader to enable, support and coach such processes.
