This is a mobility exclusive for VET schools.

Within the framework of this ERASMUS+ mobility, participants are given the opportunity to gain knowledge and inspiration within an international context for a short period of time. This mobility focuses on job shadowing and offers a unique opportunity to explore the education system of the host country up close, with special attention to technical and vocational training.

During their stay, participants are immersed in one or more workplace learning concepts as applied within various educational structures in the host country. They gain insight into how workplace learning is structurally embedded and which actors – from schools to businesses and governments – are involved in realising high-quality learning pathways.

In addition, specific attention is paid to the broader ecosystem necessary to organise workplace learning in an efficient, effective and sustainable manner. Through observations, discussions with experts and site visits, participants gain a clear picture of how workplace learning is organised abroad.

Finally, the participants will also have the opportunity to actively sample this system. This experience not only stimulates professional growth, but also offers valuable insights and inspiration to strengthen workplace learning within one's own context.
  • Participants will be introduced to the education system of the country they will be visiting;
  • Participants are introduced to one or more workplace learning concepts within various technical and vocational training programmes;
  • Participants gain insight into the ecosystem needed to organise workplace learning in a high-quality, efficient and effective manner;
  • Participants can actively sample a workplace learning system.

Participants:

  • can express themselves in English;
  • are team players;
  • can transcend their own context and have great empathy;
  • have a didactically creative and innovative mind;
  • can inspire others;
  • can transfer knowledge gained internationally to other contexts;
  • are willing to engage in a learning network in which they share what they have learned with colleagues across participating educational institutions;
  • are willing to turn what they have learned into effective changes in their own classroom practice and share this within the learning network and beyond.
